The Lumenarium

As some of you may know the Lumenarium will be leaving its current location at 927A Mont-Royal this month. In celebration of this new change, we are hosting a little shindig. This small event will feature a performance by Chris Carrière & Frank O’Connor (and guest) who will be performing inside an improvised version of the Chamber of Hollowfields. BYOB or chip in and buy a few from us.

We will be hosting the occasional Open Parlor over the next two months for those who have not had the chance to visit the Lumenarium (or wish to return). The first of these will be next Tuesday, November 11 at 8pm. Please keep an eye on the calendar in “exhibitions” for updates, or contact us if you would like to schedule a visit.

Many thanks to all the patrons for visiting the  “La Ménagerie du Déjà Vécu” and to all the artisans for their hard work. It was a grand success. The Lumenarium is currently undergoing another major transformation, and come January, will be uprooted from its present location on Mont-Royal. While we have no scheduled shows during these next two months, keep your eyes peeled for a few small events. And for anyone who has not had the opportunity, or wishes to take one last gander at its current incarnation, please feel free to contact us about setting up a time to visit the Lumenarium.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the lovely patrons of the Lumenarium’s first show. For those poor souls who could not attend- fear not- our next extravaganza, “La Ménagerie du Déjà Vécu” will begin Oct. 1st (presented by Pop Montreal’s Art Pop festival) and promises to showcase a plethora of new ephemera and curious amusements. More details soon to follow….

Due to popular demand, Dr. Optimystical’s Parlor of Polyscopic Phenomena has been extended for two more weeks at the Lumenarium- Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 8-11 from now untill August 21st!
